[Kdenlive-devel] Bringing Kdenlive to KDE and hopefully some new live

Good morning dear Kdenlive contributors

As you probably know Till, Simon and Vincent of Kdenlive were at the Randa
Meetings 2014 which happened two weeks ago. There I proposed these guys to
bring Kdenlive closer to KDE and thus trying to bring new life and manpower to
this great piece of KDE software.

For this I started an Incubator page on the KDE Community wiki:
https://community.kde.org/Incubator/Projects/Kdenlive

First things we plan to do is bringing the Mantis bug list to KDE's Bugzilla,
bringing Kdenlive to KDE's continuous integration build.kde.org and switching
the old mailing list on sourceforge.net to KDE's mailman.

I'll be the contact person for KDE for this incubation process. Don't hesitate
to ask for help or if you've question.

First question from my side. Who of you may I add to the contributors list on
the above wiki page?

Thanks for your help and advice
Mario

Hi, good news so far !!

You can also add me in the list (I'm already a KDE contributor, so it's
just if you want to have one more member ;-) )

Regards

I added you and Steve and for other people interested. It's a wiki, just add
yourself ;-).

Best regards

Morning again

So the next steps from my side would be:
1. Get in contact with jbm to get his agreement to move stuff from sourceforge
to kde.org and from Mantis to Bugzilla. Vincent, could you call him?
2. File a sysadmin ticket [1] to setup Kdenlive on build.kde.org (needs
specification of the dependencies of Kdenlive)
2. File a sysadmin ticket [1] to transfer the Mantis data to KDE's Bugzilla
3. File a sysadmin ticket [1] to transfer the mailing list from sf to kde.
4. File a sysadmin ticket [1] to tranfer kdenlive.org to kde infrastructure?

Do we have all the credentials that are needed to get full access to the
systems mentioned above?

Anything else that I missed?

Thx
Mario

2. File a sysadmin ticket [1] to transfer the Mantis data to KDE's Bugzilla
When you do this, it will be nice if the Mantis ticket number is put
into a Bugzilla field that can be searched. There are commit messages
in MLT and Kdenlive that reference these bug numbers. Thanks.

Got his reply, all credentials for kdenlive.org!
I'll go on with the next steps after few days (sysadmin tickets & incubator
wiki updates), I'm now focused on getting a release out on time for Debian
freeze (maybe not the last 0.9.x as annoying bugs are remaining).
