Hello,
Movit integration is and important switch for kdenlive, even if changes in
code are not that huge (for the moment)?!
It made the GLSL library a requirement for MLT build, now taken into account
in build script and in sunab's PPA, but this may take more time for
distributions to follow... what they should not do too quickly?
With the first binaries made available, we are getting the first bug reports
about features broken by this transition (see http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis).
I think it would have been wise to warn our users in advance, so that they
point to "release" PPA instead of "svn" if they want to work rather than help
in tests...
So better late than never: who on this list has an access to kdenlive's blog
to publish a short bulletin? (Till? Granjow? JBM?)
Maybe help to write the text would be welcome?
If others want to publish on other media, it might be a good time (few month
back I remember some offered this kind of contribution: please don't hesitate).
I you want technical stuff to be cross checked maybe you can submit your
hesitations to this list for review?
BR,
Vincent
